Come hike while benefiting the environment and learning about history!
Every first Saturday of the month the Coastal Land Trust, a coastal land conservation non-profit, hosts a volunteer workday. We get together to trim trees, rake trails, move branches, and have fun doing general trail maintenance.
This month, due to November 9th's proximity to November 11th, Veterans Day, we're going to be working and hiking at Gales Creek Preserve with a guest hike leader! This huge piece of property is ~254 acres and hosts a beautiful little nature chapel. It boasts wide open spaces and a large amount of creek frontage property. Come learn about history, honor those who have served our country, and enjoy maintaining the environment.
Coastal Land Trust will bring water, gloves, hand tools, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks, and waivers for everyone to sign. All you need to bring is a positive attitude and a water bottle if you want!
