Your Benefits
In addition to doing something to help the democratic processes of your country, we hope to mentor a group of individuals who are seeking opportunities in the public sphere. The EDA commits to creating networking opportunities that will enhance exposure through events and interactions, allowing for sharing of learning and experiences with successful politicians and public servants. Students in various programs maybe eligible for volunteer hours towards their programs.

Our candidate and executive team have extensive experience in Human Resources. We are committed to creating a structured learning plan that allows each volunteer to walk away with experience they can apply to their own lives. Please let us know if you would like to take part in this aspect.

For experienced volunteers, we hope to gather information and resources you need to manage
the campaign efforts. Preparing in advance so that your efforts can be fully utilized.

Who Can Volunteer?
- Anyone! Citizens, residents and future Canadians can all take part in making history in the next election.
- We are looking for volunteers from all backgrounds and experiences.
- Our only requirement is that your residency in Canada can be legally verified (i.e. citizenship, permanent residency, work or student visas)

Why should I volunteer for you?
Simply put, we are different. We have taken a very progressive and pragmatic approach to recruiting volunteers.

We want each and every voter that elects us to be proud of their decision. Just as importantly, we want every volunteer to realize that they are with us as long as they desire and we are there for them. We will not just remember you during our campaign period, but you will have direct access to your EDA president and (hopefully) your NDP elected MP after October 21, 2019. We are building relationships and we are going to change the way Surrey Centre is represented. That’s our promise and you can hold us to that promise!

If you have been moved, motivated and encouraged by what you've just read, please send an email to volunteer@surreycentrendp.com with your resume. Be sure to include:
-the position you are interested in volunteering for in the subject line
-any volunteer experience you have
-your availability from now until October 30, 2019
-most importantly what you expect to gain out of this experience and what your community can gain from you!
