Non- Profit Development and Marketing Internship

Responsible to: Development Coordinator and/or Executive Director

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist development team with the coordination of annual fundraising events (this includes attending committee meetings, helping with logistics, and attending events)
• Accompany Development Coordinator (and possibly other staff) to outreach and promotional events
• Liaise with board members and donors for fundraising and community partnerships as required
• Assist with marketing, including updating organizations’ website and social media outlets
• Assist with developing strong online platforms and online media presence
• Assist with computer based projects: Streamline, organize and innovate
• Assist development coordinator with special projects for the Executive Director, including preparation for Board meetings and other items as assigned

Qualifications:

• Background Check/Fingerprint Check
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under the direction of multiple different staff members
• Dependability
• Interest in nonprofit administration and development
• Media/PR experience a plus
• Web Design experience
• Social Media Platforms and Marketing
• Well versed in IT and computer science
• Minimum age of 18

Commitment:

• Orientation and attendance at all volunteer training sessions
• Attendance on each day stated to work

Training:

• Approximately 20 hours of initial training to include: domestic violence, sexual assault, active listening, crisis intervention skills, policies & procedures
• Approximately 40 hours of online Victim’s Assistance Training
• Orientation and training session with Development Coordinator
