We're looking for volunteers to lead peer support groups for our organization, Widow Care. We are a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between bereavement groups & practical support via a variety of programs.
Widow Care provides monthly grief support groups for those who are facing the loss of a spouse. We are looking for volunteers who have experience in leading a group, or people who have dealt with similar loss. This position requires 3 hours of volunteer service per month, typically on the first or second Thursday of the month (6pm-9pm).

Description
Widow Care operates locally by connecting neighbors with neighbors to strengthen communities. We channel the skills and generosity within a community to meet the needs of a population rarely considered and often forgotten. We connect compassionate volunteers with widows and widowers who desperately need help coping with every day tasks after loss. We also conduct educational programs to empower widowed individuals to become self-sustaining.
