GOAL/IMPACT
Crossing the finish line. Scoring a point. Celebrating with the team. Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) is dedicated to moments such as these, because it is through these moments that our athletes find strength, success, confidence, and joy. SOSC Sports Management Interns help make moments like these possible by assisting with the coordination and delivery of competitions, events, and programs including Summer and Fall Games. Step onto the podium and try out for your place on the team!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide hands-on support in planning and developing Chapter and competitions and programs
- Work closely with our Games Organizing Committee to provide venue support
- Assist Games Headquarters with on-site nerve centers
- Management of volunteer groups assigned to delegation services
- Implement the building of sport partnerships with colleges in the SOSC footprint
- Establish and build partnerships with NIRSA/SAAC for athlete development in Unified Sports
