HarmonyCares Hospice is seeking Volunteers to visit with our patients and families in a time of need. We all have loved ones who have needed some extra tender loving care or just an open ear at some point in our lives. Why not let it be you? Just giving a couple hours out of your week or month could be all that is needed.
It is not only the patients who need companionship and support it is our families as well. They have been giving all their time to take care of their loved ones which has resulted in them putting their lives on hold.
Volunteering is amazing. You grow as a person, you gain a self-worth and give to others your compassion, friendship, an open ear and open heart. There are many things you can do as a direct patient volunteer such as: run errands, read, sit and just hold a hand of a family member or patient, play cards, do puzzles, help with gardening, or just sit and chat.
