Grace Hospice is seeking Volunteers to visit with our patients and families in a time of need. We all have loved ones who have needed some extra tender loving care or just an open ear at some point in our lives. Why not it be YOU! Just giving a couple hours out of your week or month could be all that is needed. Please consider how you would feel if you were in the same situation and needed someone to just hang out with! It is not only the patient's who need companionship and support it is our families as well. They have been giving all their time to take care of their loved ones which has resulted in them putting their lives on hold.
Volunteering is amazing! You grow as a person, you gain a self worth and give to others your compassion, friendship, an open ear and open heart! There are many things you can do as a direct patient volunteer such as: run errands, read, sit and just hold a hand of a family member or patient, play cards, do puzzles, help with gardening, or just sit and chat. I could go on about how amazing volunteering is but, how about you call or email me to schedule an appointment to start your training process to become a volunteer and experience it yourself! You will soon see for yourself how this will not only benefit the families and patient but, you as well!
