Are you interested in volunteering your time and talent at HealthLink Dental Clinic?

Our free dental clinic has volunteer opportunities that can accommodate your schedule and work preferences.

With the impact of COVID-19, dental care has been neglected particularly for those who do not have access to affordable dental care. Additionally, damage to teeth from grinding and clenching, due to stress is becoming more prevalent. HealthLink's patient-base is growing as a cause of many of these factors and HeathLink is seeking dentists to volunteer their time to help!

HealthLink is open Monday through Friday, with evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are looking for licensed dentists to volunteer for 4-6 hour shifts. Volunteer as often as once a week or just one shift a month.

HealthLink Dental Clinic is a modern dental facility with a competent, compassionate staff. We pride ourselves in offering our clinic patients an experience like that of a private practice.

Volunteer dentists at HealthLink are covered by medical liability insurance provided by the Federal Torts Claims Act (FTCA).

As a volunteer, you will be providing preventative and restorative oral health care to low-income, working adults and military veterans.

You will be joining a team of local dental professionals dedicated to improving their community - one patient at a time.

About HealthLink Dental Clinic, Inc.

Location:

1775 Street Rd, Southampton, PA 18966, US

Mission Statement

To provide preventative and restorative dental services, along with oral health education, to contribute to the overall health of low wage-earning adults and veterans in Bucks and Montgomery Counties

Description

HealthLink provides free dental services to low-income, working adults and military veterans that would otherwise go without. We empower them to restore their oral health resulting in better overall health, more job opportunities, and healthier family health habits.

Our clinic provides services to adults (ages 18 and over) that are employed, live in Bucks County or Montgomery County (PA),do not have dental insurance, and have a household annual income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. HealthLink waives the employment requirement for local veterans. Our patients would not have access to dental care without us.

Dental services are provided on-site at HealthLink’s location at 1775 Street Road in Upper Southampton Township. In addition to oral hygiene exams, other primary dental care services available include: cleanings, x-rays, fillings, extractions, deep scaling, root canals, crowns, oral cancer screenings, and patient education.

Low-income adults who consider themselves "healthy" may not visit their doctor routinely, so they are not being screened for such things as diabetes and high blood pressure. However, through our "Connecting Oral Health & Overall Health" program, these screenings are performed at our clinic ensuring that patients are informed about their health. Because overall health is interconnected to oral health, we are proud to offer this service to further empower our patients to improve their health.
