Hi there! I am looking for an outgoing, energetic volunteer who could work as a Community Outreach assistant at our Project Access Family Resource Center in Raleigh. We assist families in need with free resources, classes, and services to improve their life through community building; but in order to do this, they have to know we are here! That's where community outreach comes in. You would be distributing flyers, meeting neighbors, and discussing with the families in our area about Project Access and what we do here. I would like someone who can commit to once a week, preferably on Friday afternoons. I look forward to hearing from you!

Mission Statement

To be the leading provider of vital on-site health, education, and employment services to low-income families, children, and seniors. Our goal is to give low-income families the tools needed to break the cycle of poverty, become healthier, further educated and financially stable.

Description

Project Access envisions that all residents of affordable housing communities have the opportunity to achieve self-sufficiency and maximize their full potential.

We offer After School Programming for Elementary and Middle/High School Students. As well as offer ESL classes for adults in the community. On the fun aspect we host Monthly Community Engagement Events so that the residents are able to interact and network with their neighbors.
We have a growing request for computer classes for adults and would like to launch that as well as a Zumba class for the mothers. So we are in search for volunteers with those backgrounds.

The ultimate goal is to provide successful, beneficial, and fun programs for all of our residents.
