Host kittens, cats, or even young cat families in your home! Many kitties who come to us are too young, too small, or need additional medical care before they can be made available for adoption -- that's where foster homes come in. We'll supply food and veterinary services, you supply the love and care.
Requirements:
1). If you currently have pets, they must be spayed or neutered, current on vaccines, current on flea treatment and tolerant of kittens.
2). You must be able to transport to one of our vets, either the one in Louisville, KY or the other in Georgetown, IN.
3). If you choose to foster kittens, you must have plenty of time to socialize them; the first few months are crucial in teaching them to trust and like people.
4.). Must be willing to keep APA apprised of how your fosters are doing.
5). Must have separate area to foster moms with babies.
6.) Must fill out foster agreement/application (https://www.apa-pets.org/wp-content/uploads/Foster-Agreement-1.pdf).
