Volunteering at PETA gives you the opportunity to assist with simple mailing and merchandise projects that make a big difference. You'll have a chance to learn more about PETA’s campaigns as well as meet others who are also interested in helping animals. Our literature department is able to accept volunteers Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. If you are under 16 years of age, you will need a parent/guardian to accompany you when volunteering in our office.

For any questions, please contact Christina LaChance Christinala@petaf.org

About People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)

Location:

501 Front Street, Norfolk, VA 23510, US

Mission Statement

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 3 million members and supporters.

PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in the clothing trade, in laboratories, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds, and other "pests" as well as cruelty to domesticated animals.

PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

Description

PETA is dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment.
