Volunteer your help in exchange for a free place to park your self-contained RV or travel trailer.

The church needs someone to live on the property full time and keep an eye on the place. It just can't be done by the minister once a week.

But we do have a beautiful field beside the church we sometimes call our parking lot. It's nestled under the Dripping Springs mountains 27 miles south of Globe.

Here are some photos. (Click "Present", then click on each slide. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1boGeX3umrLouZ8cCQzBNr10chgLwe9jOiKPsN1xyxEE/edit#slide=id.p

In exchange for parking, we can provide water and the shelter of the church building to come inside during the day, or when the weather's bad. But there's no cooling or heating, so you'll do better to sleep, cook, and bathe in your own RV.

The church has a couple of sofas, a VCR, DVD player, and a large library if you like to read. Outside, there are beautiful places to hike in the Dripping Springs mountains.

We have several rules, including no smoking, no drugs, no sleeping in the church. Your presence will help keep other "friendly" neighbors from trespassing without permission or sleeping in the church at night. If you want to help out with minor maintenance project, such as making sure the timer is watering the roses properly or cleaning the church, that would be nice. Cutting the grass occasionally would be kind of you. In other words, let's discuss what you think might be a fair exchange for a free place to park and live. Everyone has different levels of health and energy, so we'll arrange this volunteer opportunity to what you're able and willing to do. If you like to have more to do, and have some handyman skills, the bathroom and hall could be painted, or plumbing installed for the kitchen sink. It's up to you how much you'd like to do. But what we most need is someone on the property most of the time, just to let those who have permission come during the week, and to not let others trespass who have not asked permission. If you are of good character, your presence will be so appreciated. You will be helping us keep our church in the country our own. Interested? Please let us know. Feel free to ask questions.
