Granny's Garden School (non profit) has a small, passionate leadership team that is seeking additional leadership talent to join our ranks. As an organization in transition, focus over the last 2 years has been on establishing operational systems for our outdoor education program, securing grant funding, establishing financial controls and organizing for a sustainable future. We now need to add strong executive board and committee leaders to drive strategic planning, organize for success, and continue strong fiscal and operational oversight of the non profit program. Maintaining a strong partnership and relationship with the participating school districts, administration, staff and local community is an important board role moving forward. Expertise in mission/ vision, strategy development, annual action plans, resource allocation and development of non-profit by-laws would be particularly helpful.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster lifelong connections to the wonders of the natural world. We believe in the benefits of immersing kids in the outdoors from a young age and the lasting impact of positive impressions with nature. To support this, our non-profit creates and manages garden and nature based programs on school grounds for elementary students. Our garden and nature trail are used to enhance classroom study while allowing children an opportunity to experience nature, the satisfaction of growing their own food and contributing harvest to the local food pantry.
