Provide information and referrals to older adults who speak Russian at our JFS { West Hollywood Senior Center. Offer critically needed help with reading and understanding forms, filling out paperwork, advocating and translating via the telephone and more for seniors with limited English skills. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real impact in the life of an older adult.
Join our team of dedicated social workers and volunteer in a fun and supportive setting. Volunteers will work as "case aides" during a designated shift at our senior center. Volunteers will receive training and on-going support.
Volunteers are needed for a 2 hour shift (1-3 pm) on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons.
Volunteers must speak proficient or fluent Russian.
