Our food bank could use your help with picking up food from a distribution site and helping to deliver and distribute it to the residents of Villa Amador. Our twice a month food bank is well utilized and we could use some extra hands. Join us and roll up your sleeves to help with pick-up, delivery and set up. Help those in need access healthy food. Volunteers like you make it possible!

Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, food is picked up at 8:00 am to be delivered for distribution.

Mercy Housing California at Villa Amador is an affordable housing community serving 96 family households in Brentwood, California.

About Mercy Housing California

Location:

1360 Mission Street,, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94103, US

Mission Statement

To create stable, vibrant and healthy communities by developing, financing and operating affordable, program-enriched housing for families, seniors and people with special needs who lack the economic resources to access quality, safe housing opportunities.

Description

Mercy Housing was founded in 1981 in response to the lack of stable, affordable housing for vulnerable populations. In working to fulfill our mission, Mercy Housing California has developed more than 154 affordable housing communities in 36 counties throughout California, providing 17,000+ homes and serving over 24,000 people in need.

Mercy's commitment to program-enriched housing distinguishes us from many other large scale affordable housing developers. Housing is foundational - everyone needs a home. But many people who have endured poverty and other challenges need an additional hand-up to create the lives they want for themselves and their families. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work with residents right in their homes and neighborhoods on issues like health and wellness, housing stability, financial security as well as provide a full range of enriching out-of-school time options for youth.
