Sign up today to volunteer for Chicagoland’s biggest bike event!
Calling all volunteers! Your time and talents are needed to help Active Transportation Alliance produce a successful, car-free bike ride for over 20,000 riders on Lake Shore Drive.
Please join us Sunday, May 26, 2019 for our biggest fundraiser, Fifth Third Bike the Drive, and support our work to improve biking, walking and transit.
We’re specifically looking for more course marshals, SAG drivers, ride marshal, checkpoint marshals and festival volunteers. Choose whether you want to experience Fifth Third Bike the Drive on bike, on foot, or in a car! All day-of-event volunteers will receive a t-shirt and a voucher for all-you-can-eat pancakes.
Additionally, If you’re part of a school group, church group, or other nonprofit or community group, bring 15 volunteers and you can earn a $200 stipend for your group! Corporate groups are also welcome, but must select a registered nonprofit to receive the stipend.
We rely on the continued support and enthusiasm from volunteers like you - please visit www.bikethedrive.org/volunteer to register today!

Mission Statement
The mission of Active Transportation Alliance is to advocate for walking, bicycling, and public transit to create healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities. We envision a Chicagoland that is a fun and healthy place to live, work, and play!
Description
Based in Chicago, the Active Transportation Alliance is a non-profit advocacy organization that works to improve conditions for bicycling, walking and transit and engage people in healthy and active ways to get around.
With support from our thousands of members, hundreds of volunteers and a wide spectrum of community partners, our dedicated team has been working for several decades to create more opportunities for people to travel safely, actively and enjoyably.
Our logo honors our past and points to our future: it is shaped like a bicycle frame head badge, and its three elements represent community, pathways and green space.
We envision a Chicagoland that is a fun and healthy place to live, work and play. We want to reduce crashes in the region by half and and see half of all trips in the area made by walking, biking and transit. To reach these goals, we plan to build a movement around active transportation, increase safety, encourage physical activity, and create a world-class transportation network.
