The therapy gym volunteer program is open to college students who are currently pursuing degrees in physical, occupational or speech therapy, music therapy or recreation therapy. Volunteers facilitate one-on-one or small group activities for patients as they await therapy sessions in the Hospital’s largest inpatient therapy gym, and sanitize and organize therapy equipment.

Mission Statement
The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital, a private non-profit hospital, offers 24-hour medical care, comprehensive rehabilitative therapies, respiratory care, and special education to children with complex medical needs and disabilities. The state-of-the-art facility is home to four main areas of service: Complex Care, Pediatric Medical Rehabilitation, Pediatric Clinic and Outpatient Therapy Services.
Assisting families with their challenges and questions is a significant part of our work. Parents are considered an essential part of the treatment team. Our goal for patients at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital is for patients to go home to a loving family which is ready and equipped for that homecoming.
Because we believe life is sacred, an inherent gift from a loving Creator, and that all children are of equal worth, we dedicate ourselves to maximizing the potential of every child by providing state-of-the-art pediatric medical and rehabilitative services in a compassionate environment consistent with the Christian principles on which we were founded.
