Urgent! Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to help make this tree giveaway event successful. This is a terrific opportunity to connect with the community and help to create a healthier environment! No experience needed; we’ll train you the day of the event. Bridging the Gap is hosting a Tree Giveaway with the city of Kansas City MO to distribute trees for planting in the metro area. These trees will reduce energy consumption by up to 20% each year, in addition to providing benefits such as improved air and water quality, stress relief, and beautification.
Min age: 16. We’ll provide workgloves and safety vests. Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.
We will provide training at 8:30 AM on-site for all volunteer roles. The event opens to the public at 9:00 AM.
Choose from the following volunteer roles:
Ensure all community members receiving free trees have registered. The volunteer role will be to check pre-registered recipients off the list and direct them to the pick-up area.
Traffic Control (1 volunteer)
Community Engagement / Tree Loading Team (10 volunteers)
