  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Camp ChiMer is a unique, 5 day overnight summer camp for children ages 9-18 who are undergoing peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, or have had a kidney transplant. Due to the complexity of kidney disease, most children are not able to attend regular summer camps.

Volunteer opportunities are:

Camp Counselors- volunteers needed to stay for the full week and spend time with the campers as their cabin leader with 3-5 kids per cabin.

Day Time Volunteers- volunteers needed to help facilitate set up & tear down of activities, assistance with breakfast, lunch, dinner. Day volunteers are welcome to participate one day or all five days.

Activity Volunteers - volunteers needed to facilitate an activity for the kids. This would be a painting class, jewelry making class, dance class, gaga ball, basketball tournament, leadership class, clay making, and any other class that is suitable for a camp. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own supplies or we can provided the supplies as needed. This would be a class for about 40-45 campers.
