This is a long term volunteer position with flexible hours and location. Time demand can be 4-6 hours per week during the summer theater season, and lower the rest of the year. The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for entering the accounts payable and receivable in Quickbooks.
Responsibilities
- Enter expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial details in Quickbooks
- Provide regular financial reports to Executive Director
- Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in non-profit bookkeeping
- Familiarity in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Detail oriented

Description
Our Core Programs
- Shakespeare and classics-inspired productions in Sanborn Park, where we produce 22 ticketed performances of two plays each summer.
- Shakespeare in San José, where we produce 13 performances free to the public in Willow Street Park.
- An education program that features a summer camp for kids, workshops and assemblies to over 2,000 students in local schools, and an internship program for college students to achieve professional development training.
- A partnership with the San José State University Department of Radio, Television, Film and Theatre, where we co-produce one full-scale production and a 48-Hour Play Festival.
