Become a Summer Volunteer at Cathedral Gardens! Cathedral Gardens, an EAH Housing property, is a nonprofit affordable housing unit located in downtown Oakland, CA. We are looking for volunteers to assist in our summer program. Volunteers will attend an Oakland food program training with the Resource Coordinator beginning as early as late early June. After training, volunteers are expected to assist on a consistent weekly basis and/or as needed from June to August. Opportunities are available in the summer Monday-Friday. Volunteer duties may include receiving, counting, temping, prepping, and serving food to youth, as well as assisting with our educational summer program.

Ideally, candidates should be patient, detail-oriented, communicative, and enjoy working with youth.

We can work with your schedule if you can only make a fraction of those days. However, consistent and weekly commitment until the end of the program is required. Note that all volunteers must go through a background check.

Contact the Resource Coordinator, Connie at conniem.chan@eahhousing.org if you are interested. Thank you!
