Catholic Charities has created an enhanced transition out of poverty model (TOP) to help those in need. Program participants will receive one on one assistance to help them make reach their own goals and dreams. Volunteers are needed for many different positions. All positions have flexible hours and will be accompanied by appropriate training and support from staff. Some of the jobs include:
Reception/Schedulers
Tasks: Answer phones/Provide initial TOP program description/Schedule appointments (participant intake appointment and food pick up appointments)/ complete database enrollment/ provide emergency food
Time: Monday - Friday 9 -4 (Shifts available)
Intake
Tasks: Provide detailed TOP overview/ Invite program participation/ Complete TOP and Catholic Charities paperwork as appropriate/ Complete database information/ Provide food
Times: Monday - Friday 9-4 (Shifts available)
Volunteer Case Coordinator
Task: Provide appropriate case management services (Volunteer receives training and support throughout the entire process)
Times: Flexible (you make your own schedule)
Food Pantry Support
Tasks: Stocking/ Organizing/ Inventory support/ Distribute food on pick up days/ Inventory management
Times: Monday - Friday 9-4 (Shifts available)
Data Entry:
Task: Database information entry/Update database information
Times: Monday- Friday 9-4 (flexible/Shifts available)

Description
Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte provides services encompassing assistance to individuals and families experiencing a need for:
- Foster care, adoption and pregnancy services
- Individual, marriage and family counseling
- Distribution of donated services to the needy
- Food Pantry
- Acute emergency services
- Enrichment services
- Burial Support
Catholic Charities (CCDOC) Refugee Resettlement program is an affiliate of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), one of the national voluntary agencies participating in the federal government's refugee resettlement program. For the past 30 years, the CCDOC Refugee Resettlement program has embraced the mission of providing quality services and a caring support system that will empower our refugee clients to become self-sufficient, self-reliant, and productive members of society. On average, CCDOC Refugee Resettlement program resettles and supports between 350 and 400 refugees per year. All of our services are non-sectarian and do not promote any religious belief or affiliation.
