ORGANIZATION: Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida

Volunteers are needed to chaperone the event and to assist with check in. We typically have 10-20 adults with Down syndrome attend our T21 program. Your job is to encourage socializing and forming friendships and enjoy the movie with our attendees! Best volunteer opportunity ever? We think so.

Come out and join us as we celebrate May 4th the right way! North Orlando Kiwani's Little League time will be partnering with Audubon Park Garden District to provide a free showing of the Force Awakens right on the lawn. Bring something comfortable to sit on, a snack, and even sport your favorite Star Wars shirt! This will be an event you won't want to miss.

Welcome to the Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida!
We believe when POTENTIAL is given OPPORTUNITY the outcome is SUCCESS.

We envision a day where people with Down syndrome are fully included in their communities: working, playing, studying and living together with their peers.

We believe that the more opportunities any individual is given the greater the likelihood of their success. Every successful athlete, academic achiever or musical prodigy has many dedicated hours of practice, study and effort. It is our goal to provide more and more opportunities throughout the community for individuals with Down syndrome to be involved and included - not just because it is the right thing to do, but because we know EVERYONE will benefit from it! We provide scholarships, educational / informational programs, community / business partnerships to improve inclusion and legislative and political advocacy for issues related to individuals with developmental disabilities like Down syndrome.
