VOLUNTEER DESRCIPTION:
Responsible for assisting administrative staff with answering phones, responding to emails, printing documents, sending and processing invoices, and scheduling meetings. The ideal candidate has some experience in this role, enjoys taking on any task that comes their way, can work on multiple projects at once and has the people skills necessary to communicate with clients, employees and partners professionally. The position is Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

DUTIES:

  • Answers phone calls and email messages promptly and notifies staff members of important information
  • Relay important information to clients, staff and partners
  • Schedule appointments with clients
  • Schedules meetings based on staff availability
  • Copy, digitize and file office documents
  • Assists administrators and executives with duties on an as-needed basis

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suit
  • Ability to create schedules without overbooking personnel
  • Comfortable communicating on the phone/instant messenger/email/intranet
  • Experience working with contact management platforms
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask tasks
  • Important to have people skills and great patience
  • Bilingual with Spanish a plus
  • Excellent communication skills

The Health Partnership of Georgia, Inc. (HPOG) is an HIV service organization serving metro-Atlanta and the surrounding areas. HPOG is the sister organization of The Partnership of Greater Atlanta, LLC (a Medicaid contracted organization providing HIV case management and other support services since 2014). The Health Partnership of Georgia, Inc. strives tirelessly to help those impacted by HIV, mental illness, substance abuse, hunger and homelessness. Since 2013, as a pro bono organization (now nonprofit) HPOG has assisted 100s of individuals. We know there is much more work needed in our communities. HPOG cannot do it alone! We are looking for dedicated volunteers with a heart to serve and a willingness to align with a developing and growing organization.
