Do you love coordinating teams and details? Gardens Buffalo Niagara is seeking a headquarters coordinator for Garden Walk Buffalo!

The coordinator helps to facilitate the Headquarters Committee and is responsible for coordinating the various tasks for the event. The HQ manager would be in charge of ensuring adequate staffing of each location. On Garden Walk Buffalo weekend, the coordinator circulates amongst the headquarters and satellites to bring supplies and help if needed at the locations.

Headquarters is the primary location that visitors use as a resting place, for bathrooms, and to purchase merchandise. The HQ volunteers can answer questions about the gardens to visit, provide directions to various locations of the gardens and other places (restaurants for instance), hand out the maps and answer questions about the maps, solicit donations, sell merchandise, take credit card orders, handle cash transactions for the merchandise, operate the cash registers and credit card machines, sell water (at some of the locations), direct visitors to the restrooms. Someone also checks the restrooms for cleanliness and to resupply the paper products.

A few months before the date of the walk the Headquarters Coordinator contacts the headquarters locations to confirm that they are available the weekend of the Walk and to address details to better serve our visitors.

This position helps to make sure volunteers and visitors have an incredible Garden Walk weekend, and helps thousands of visitors to have an incredible Buffalo weekend!
