Offering Support to Hopsice Patients in Isabella County

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Elara Caring Hospice Foundation

  • 6 people are interested

Great Lakes Caring provides hospice services to patients and their families at the end of life.

Hospice isn’t about dying; it’s about living life the best way you can!

Great Lakes Caring supports our patients and families with Physical, Emotional and Spiritual support throughout the entire journey and to families after!

We understand that caring for a loved one at this time is demanding so we provide volunteers to sit with the patient and provide companionship while the caregiver steps away for a few hours.

Our volunteers are trained to provide a listening ear and understanding attitude while they are with their patient.

All volunteers are required to

  • Be at least 17 years old (to provide direct companionship)
  • Be at least 16 years old (to provide support in our office)
  • Complete a drug test
  • Have a background check
  • Have fingerprints done
  • Step I & II TB test
