CIS of the Nation's Capital is looking for a male mentor for a 9th grade male student at Cardozo Education Campus. This student is primarily in need of someone who can support his social development by simply hanging out with him and building a relationship. His favorite thing is basketball. Ideally the mentor will commit to spending a couple of hours a month with the student, either during or after school.
Communities In Schools of the Nation's Capital is the DC affiliate of the nation's leading dropout prevention program. We work in 14 schools across the District to surround students with a community of support so that they are empowered to stay in school and achieve in life.

Description
CISNCAP positions site coordinators inside schools and partners with local businesses, social service agencies, health care providers and volunteers to provide students with exactly what they need. Whether it's food, school supplies, health care, counseling, academic assistance or a positive role model, we work to provide whatever students need to flourish.
