We are seeking visual artists, photographers or graphic designers who earn most or part of a living from their creativity to share their story, their insights and their career lessons in a 15 minute talk to the Mint Artists. We want people who have a creative career / or are arts entrepreneurs and are willing to share some key moments or decisions that helped them achieve a measure of success.
These talks are held during our business of art workshops and a couple of times in our Creative Summer Jobs program.
You may do this in a Q&A format or with a brief presentation or just a chat of 10-15 minutes. We need artists on these dates and a few others over the summer:
Saturday, May 18 around 1 p.m.
Friday, June 21, late afternoon
Tuesday, July 16 - around 4 -5 p.m.
After your career talk, we open it up for 15 minutes questions from our artists, ages 15 to 21.
These career talks may be videotaped and they may be turned into blog posts for Mint.

Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
