On January 30, 2020 from 5:30-8:30 pm, we will be holding a training session for our Creative Expressions Program. Funded by the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Lucas County, Creative Expressions is a program that consists of a variety of support groups in the community that are facilitated by trained volunteers. This unique program uses art-making to express feelings, solve problems and build healthy, supportive relationships. No previous art experience is required.
The training will take place here at our NAMI Greater Toledo office at 2753 West Central Avenue, Toledo Ohio 43606. We are located between Foodtown and Furniture Palace. Since we will be beginning after our normal business hours, you will enter thru the side door. We will have an orange cone placed by the door to draw your attention to it.
Space is limited and we will be serving a light meal so it is important that you RSVP as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Having an accurate count of participants will also help us to make sure we order the appropriate amount of food and supplies. My contact information is listed below and in addition to using it to RSVP, I encourage you all to call or email me with any questions or concerns you may have.
I hope you can join us for this training event...Not only for the fun you will have and the friendships you will form, but also for the opportunity it will give you to help others while enjoying yourself at the same time. Additionally, this is a great way to earn community service hours that may be required for your school, church or group. Again, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns,
