Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Sherwood Wine Foundation to benefit education and entrepreneurship in our community by celebrating, supporting and bringing exposure to the wineries and vintners of the Willamette Valley. To this end, we will host annual event(s) in the Sherwood area, including the Sherwood Wine Festival, that include wineries and vintners of the Willamette Valley to fundraise scholarships for individuals or groups that need financial assistance with education or entrepreneurship in the wine or vintner industries. The quantity of scholarships awarded would be based on the previous fiscal years fundraising success.

Description

This is our third year hosting the Sherwood Wine Festival but only our first year as a non-profit. Initially this event was the brain child of the owner of 503Uncorked but she wanted to do something that gave back to the industry and provide a means of employment. It looks like we will be able to grant a few scholarships after our event this year.
