At The Pet Compassion Centers, we work to strengthen the human-pet bond!

A nonprofit organization should always add value in their community. Kitty City, Inc. has consistently achieved this through our evolution from a small rescue to a leading provider of pet resources in the Mid-South. We were initially established as an animal welfare rescue to help homeless cats in our community. In 2011, we formally organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and quickly became a leading provider of spay and neuter surgeries in the Mid-South. Over the years, we have evolved into The Pet Compassion Centers, a pet resource network that includes pet food/supplies and low cost veterinary network for our municipal shelters. Our new low-cost veterinary clinic with a network of partner veterinary clinics has provided over 14,000 spay/neuters, hundreds of specialty surgeries and essential veterinary care in the past few years for the most vulnerable populations in their communities - specifically pets of the elderly, disabled and domestic violence victims. In 2022, we have distributed over $500,000 in pet food and supplies for our community and performed over 3,300 spay and neuter surgeries at our facility along with 50+ specialty surgical procedures for our shelters and through them, continue to serve the most vulnerable populations in our communities. We have helped rehome thousands of shelter pets to areas where they are quickly adopted.
