Job Summary:
The Development team at the American Red Cross is seeking an individual to research and participate in event planning for the Northwest Region. This internship will provide the individual with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet industry expectations and standards, all while gaining experience within a non-profit.
Job Duties:
- Takes a leadership role in planning logistics of Red Cross special events. Plan, coordinate and execute the event and maintain event activities in CVENT
- Assist with event logistics and coordination
- Assists with event execution, including working with event venue, caterer, coordinating volunteer support and coordinating community outreach
- Creates a timeline and keeps track of all pertinent dates.
- Collaborate with Development team
- Assist with special projects and related duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate student
- Majoring in Communications, Non-profit Management, or related studies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
