St. Paul Public Housing Agency is hosting a summer reading program at three of our family site community centers: Mt. Airy, McDonough and Roosevelt, for youth ages 11-14. One volunteer is needed for each of the three sites. Separate postings are up for each site. This posting is for McDonough Homes. Please apply by May 15.

An Assistant is needed to facilitate the reading sessions at each site, which includes: take attendance; help youth track their reading; plan activities to encourage reflection and learning. Each session will last 1 hour and 15 minutes, once-a-week on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 10:00-11:15 am.

Assistant will enjoy working with youth, reading and leading discussions. A background check will be required. Preferred age is 17+, but maturity is crucial. Must have access to reliable transportation and commit to the time frame. There will be no class the week of the Fourth of July.
