Chrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. We empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.

Our volunteers provide...

One-on-one support to clients by:

• creating and updating resumes and cover letters
• helping complete online job applications, such as searching for openings, filling out applications, completing application assessments, etc.
• conducting practice interviews and providing constructive feedback

Facilitate job preparation classes to empower clients on how to confidently speak and present their professional experiences and backgrounds throughout the job search

Sort and organize through our donated goods, such as our donated professional apparel in our resource rooms

fabric of our community

Prepared to work with individuals who have limited work experience

Willing to work respectfully with people of all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Some volunteer skills and knowledge include...

Computer proficiency (able to navigate the internet and utilize Microsoft Word)

Public speaking

Active listening and communication

Experience engaging with diverse backgrounds

Willingness to learn about Chrysalis mission and our participants

Bilingual in Spanish/English a PLUS (not required)

This is an in-person ONLY volunteer opportunity!

Time commitment is 6 months minimum with availability to provide services at least 1 hour minimum every other week (weekly is also an option).

Our schedule is Monday - Thursday from 8:00AM - 4:00PM; Friday from 8:00AM - 12:00PM (English classes occur Monday - Thursday 10AM & 1PM) (Spanish classes occur Monday & Wednesday 10AM & 1:15PM)
