Begin a relationship or friendship with an elderly, or lonely person looking for companionship. Meaningful, friendly phone calls, or assist them with calling or face time with their family, Assist with a craft or read out loud stories or bible verses. Assist with a tablet and search the internet, color or do trivia or word games together.
Fill out an application, spend time with the Recreation Director, must have a background check, be tested for TB, and be willing to do a one day training on safety and privacy. A volunteer book to read and sign. Then begin your journey of friendship and fun. Skills needed, kindness, open heart, compassion and caring.
