Do you or your group have experience coaching? Do you have patience while explaining frustrations around technology?

United Way Bay Area has a long history of supporting individuals and their search for employment. This is a fun and informal way to give back to the community. Bring your experiences, short-cuts, and googling fingers to help our clients problem-solve their tech challenges. We have 11 clients who have told us where they are having troubles and we'll match you with one of them based on your skills.

Participants are matched with a volunteer for a 30 min to 1-hour coaching session on how to use google tools, Microsoft office, and other remote tools like Zoom. Volunteers will help clients with their questions on technology as they have transitioned their work or job search to primarily online functions. Volunteers asked to problem-solve with the attendee without using a remote access function.

This opportunity is also customized for the client’s unique challenge. The beneficiary is SparkPoint Contra Costa. A 1.5-hour session that includes a 30- min volunteer training from 12:30-1pm.

To sign up express interest or contact Anton Timms, Sr. Director, Community Engagement at: atimms@uwba.org
