The Future Flyers track club, an AAU non-profit program offered by Focus Our Future Inc., is a traveling Track and Field team that is looking for its next Track and Field assistant coach. We want a coach who believes in the B.E.S.T. (Blessing to others. Encourage student-athletes. Share their time and resources. Teach others) This coaching position will serve boys and girls between the ages of 5 - 18 teaching various disciplines in the sport of Track and Field. Prior Track and Field experience is a plus but not required. Experience in Track Meet management, Endurance (distance/cross country) events and Throws preferred but not required. As a coach, you will join a coaching staff with over 20 years of experience and an administration that is second to none. Description
Focus Our Future, Inc. is a non-profit organization that helps student-athletes prepare for life after sport for the betterment of communities around the world. Our goal is to offer services that assist student-athletes with their transition from sport to life after sport by exercising our organizational values to be the B.E.S.T. In 2013, Greg Ford challenged Kevin Watson, a young aspiring Track and Field coach, former student-athlete and working professional, to make a difference in the lives of the student-athletes that he trains. Greg not only called Kevin to help athletes in sport but assist the athletes outside of the sport. After some consideration, Kevin became inspired to support student-athletes in and out of their respective sports. A decision was made to create an organization that would address the needs of student-athletes while they are in school and after they finish participating in their respective sports. Today, Focus Our Future, Inc. exists with the Focus Our Future(r) Program. We have received acknowledgement from Jennifer McClellan, member of the Senate of Virginia 9th District, for the leadership of our Focus Our Future(r) Program.
