Chrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. We empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.
We are currently seeking volunteers (bilingual Spanish-speakers, especially) to help provide resume and practice interview assistance.
All Chrysalis volunteers will be required to attend an informational session, receive training and ongoing evaluation, agree to confidentiality terms, and commit to an ongoing schedule. Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per month during our office hours: Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm and Friday from 8am-12pm

In the "Cover Letter" box on the following page, please provide a thoughtful statement of interest (approximately 250 words) describing why you want to volunteer with Chrysalis. Applications without a resume and statement of interest will not be considered.

Description
Our Volunteers are essential to this mission, and work directly with clients to help them gain employment. You can:
Facilitate classes (job search, money management, stress management, goal planning, computers, recovery, incarceration etc.)
Perform One-on-one resume building, interview practice and computer help
Provide Job search assistance
Sort donation items
We seek volunteers with excellent communication skills who want to make an impact in their local community. You will be directly involved in helping people enter the working world and regain their confidence, pride and stability.
Volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am -12pm. Training is provided, and we ask for a 6 month commitment. Opportunities are available in the San Fernando Valley, Downtown LA, Santa Monica, Anaheim and the Inland Empire.
