We have a volunteer opportunity coming up on April 27 th from 10am-2pm. We will be doing KEEP screenings at the Ethiopian Community Health Fair.
A little info about KEEP screenings
KEEP Healthy incorporates nearly two decades of the NKF’s experience providing national kidney health screenings and risk assessment activities. It is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older and includes: a brief health survey, blood pressure check, body mass index (BMI) measurement, educational information, an opportunity to speak with a clinician and for individuals at-risk, an ACR urine test for albumin (a type of protein). Program participants receive a copy of their results and are encouraged to discuss them with a healthcare practitioner.
