Greeter-Bennett's Bash
Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to greet and engage guests and potential donors.

Key Responsibilities

The Greeter is responsible for:

  • Welcoming guest/donors upon arrival
  • Directing guests/donors to registration/check-in area
  • Answering questions donors have on the event and providing them with additional information as needed
  • Counting number of guests that enter the event

Core Skills Required

  • Able to communicate courteously with guests/donors
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to maintain professionalism
  • Must be punctual and able to stand for duration of shift
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Training:

  • Please arrive 30 minutes early for onsite training


Bennett's Bash Floater- 4:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to engage guests and assist with any other volunteer needs.

Key Responsibilities

The Floater is responsible for:

  • Assisting any volunteers in Registration, Auction, Welcoming, Food & Beverage in the event of a rush
  • Engaging guests/donors
  • Answering questions donors have on the event and providing them with additional information as needed.

Core Skills Required

  • Able to communicate courteously with guests/donors
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to maintain professionalism
  • Must be punctual and able to stand for duration of shift
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Training:

  • Please arrive 30 minutes early for onsite training


Bennett's Bash Registration: Check-in/Check-out (Technical)- 4:00 pm - 10:45 pm

Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to work the registration table, check guests/donors into the event, and check-out the guests, if needed, utilizing technology.

Key Responsibilities

The Registration: Check-in/Check-out (Technical) volunteer is responsible for:

  • Welcoming guests to the event and providing event information
  • Registering/checking in guests through computer/tablet system and handing out name tags/badges and other materials as needed
  • Provide any fundraising incentives if required
  • Familiar with the basic logistics and schedule of the event (i.e., be able to direct guests to restrooms, table assignments, ballroom, etc.)
  • Closely monitoring all donor information and forms of payment (i.e., checks, cash and credit card information)
  • Assist with guest check out on computers/tablets

Core Skills Required

  • Attention to detail when checking guests in/out
  • Strong computer skills: data entry, minimal troubleshooting
  • Able to communicate and interact courteously with guests/donors
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to maintain professionalism
  • Willing to work in team environment and with limited direct supervision
  • Comfortable taking payments
  • Maintain donor information confidentiality
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Please arrive an hour early for onsite training

Bennett's Bash Silent Auction (Technical)- 4:30 pm - 10:45 pm

Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to engage and assist guests and potential donors during the silent auction while utilizing technology.

Key Responsibilities

The Silent Auction (Technical) is responsible for:

  • Engaging guests and donors during silent auction and addressing any questions they have
  • Assisting bidders in the silent auction as needed
  • Helping guests bid through our tablets/technology system and on their smart phones
  • Making sure area is clean and organized while keeping an eye on displays
  • During the check-out process, help collect and organize sold items
  • Help pack and organize unsold items

Core Skills Required

  • Able to communicate courteously with guests/donors
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to maintain professionalism
  • Must be punctual and able to stand for duration of shift
  • Comfortable with engaging guests to bid
  • Computer skills: data entry, tablet use
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with auction process

Training:

  • Please arrive an hour early for onsite training


Bennett's Bash Tear-Down/Clean up- 9:30 pm - 12:00 am

Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to assist with tearing down and cleaning up post-event.

Key Responsibilities

The Tear-Down/Clean up is responsible for:

  • Following instructions to break down items after the event
  • Duties may include but are not limited to decorations, equipment break-down, putting away tables/chairs, moving tables and equipment, organizing and clean-up

Core Skills Required

  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork
  • Must be comfortable with lifting heavy items
  • Working with equipment
  • Able to lift, load, and carry items to vehicles
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Training:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for onsite training
