Founded in 1984, InterAction is the largest alliance of international NGOs and partners in the United States. They mobilize their 180-plus members to think and act collectively to serve the world’s poor and vulnerable, with a shared belief that we can make the world a more peaceful, just and prosperous place - together.
This year, their signature event, InterAction Forum will be held June 11-13 in Washington DC. College students are invited to participate as volunteers to earn complimentary registration to the conference. In return for a minimum of four hours of volunteer time, college students will receive a complimentary full registration providing access to two days of breakout sessions, general sessions and networking activities. InterAction Forum 2019 will feature the world’s most influential and inspiring organizations, change makers, and executives from the public, private, and NGO sectors.
Volunteers will serve as badge checkers (checking badges, collecting tickets), greeters (directing traffic between breakout sessions), registration support, and session monitors (keeping track of time and attendance count).
To be considered for a volunteer opportunity at InterAction Forum 2019, interested students must e-mail their name, year in school, major, preferred e-mail and phone number, and a copy of their most recent class schedule to forum@interaction.org. Once they are approved, a schedule with available volunteer shifts will be sent to them. The deadline for submitting your application is Monday, May 13, 2019.
Please disseminate this information to college students who may be interested in this opportunity and will be in the Washington DC area on June 11-13.

Mission Statement
InterAction is the largest coalition of U.S.-based international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) focused on the world's poor and most vulnerable people.
Description
Collectively, InterAction's 179 members work in every developing country. Members meet people halfway in expanding opportunities and supporting gender equality in education, health care, agriculture, small business, and other areas.
The U.S. public shows its support for this work through contributions to InterAction members totaling around $6 billion annually. InterAction leverages the impact of this private support by advocating for the expansion of U.S. government investments and by insisting that policies and programs are responsive to the realities of the world's poorest and most vulnerable populations.
