Courier
Do you enjoy being on the road? Do you love spending time in the car listening to the radio? Hospice of the Miami Valley is seeking a volunteer courier to transport documents and supplies between our offices, and to patients. This is a valuable service! Utilizing a courier volunteer allows our clinical and administrative staff to continuously provide comfort care to individuals facing a terminal illness.
Volunteers are an important part of the Hospice team. Courier volunteers for HOMV offer a valuable service to our clinical and administrative staff who dedicate their time to care for patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.
Please note, we pay mileage! This position also offers flexibility in time commitment and schedule, so you can volunteer on your terms. Our Volunteer Coordinator will provide specialized training and will walk with you every step of the way. You will be supported in your role by a competent and caring group of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and fellow volunteers.
Volunteers will report to our office in Xenia. However, we serve 13 counties in the Greater Dayton area, so we have many locations with which volunteers could be involved.
If you'd like to become a caring presence to those in need, please call Volunteer Coordinator Anne Metzger at (937) 728-3412 or email metzgera@homv.org
