Scavenger Hunt Fun Run | Saturday, May 4, 2019
Road Runners Sports | 1435 N Kingsbury St. | Chicago, IL 60642
Road Runner Sports, Run for Change and St. Jude will be hosting a Scavenger Hunt Fun Run on May 4 th . On this scavenger hunt, runners will have the opportunity to learn more about proper hydration and nutrition while training as well as earn some pretty cool prizes. Runners will be given a combination of clues and scavenger hunt items to look for out on their run. Once runners get to a clue checkpoint, they may have to do something physical (i.e. do 10 jumping jacks) and for the scavenger hunt items they will need to take a picture or video. We will have about 5 - 10 locations surrounding Road Runner Sports and need volunteers out at the sites to ensure runners are performing the tasks needed and passing out raffle tickets. Additionally, we will need volunteers at the store when runners come back to check runner photo checks.
· Site volunteers (need 12) from 7:30AM - 9:30AM
o Site volunteers will report to Road Runner Sports first where they will receive their assignment and then will be sent to their assigned site
· Phone Check Volunteers (need 8) from 8:00AM - 10:00AM
o Phone Check volunteers will remain at Road Runner Sports for the duration of the volunteer time

Mission Statement
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
Description
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
