Are you good at fixing things? Do you enjoy lawn care and landscaping? Can you do light housekeeping? Hospice of the Miami Valley is seeking an Odd Jobs Volunteer for home repairs, lawn care, and light housekeeping for patients and their families.
Volunteers are an important part of the Hospice team. Odd jobs volunteers for HOMV offer stress-relieving and practical help to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness. Assisting a patient in keeping their home in working order can be an enormous relief during a time of great stress. The help and support that our volunteers give is returned to them in countless ways.
This position offers flexibility in time commitment and schedule, so you can volunteer as little or as much as you like. Our Volunteer Coordinator will provide specialized training and will walk with you every step of the way. You will be supported in your role by a competent and caring group of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and fellow volunteers. All supplies will be provided by Hospice.
Volunteers will report to our office in Xenia. However, we serve 13 counties and are likely to have a location nearby wherever you live.
