Office of Councilmember Steve Hansen Internship - The City of Sacramento’s District 4 Office of Councilmember Steve Hansen is hiring an un-paid intern to assist with community outreach efforts, staffing the office, and other projects and activities. The intern will gain valuable work experience. Qualified candidates will be invited for interviews. Under the direction of the District Director/District Representative, the intern will perform the following duties: general administrative tasks, answer and respond to constituent calls, assist staff on legislative projects, attend community and in office meetings, draft constituent communications and newsletter articles and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: able to work 10-15 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible. Hours must be during normal business hours. Have an interest in city government and public service. Possess excellent customer service skills, strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media navigation tools. Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
