The City Heart Art Show features 50 artists who have experienced homelessness and who previously lacked the opportunity to share their unique and creative work to the community. City Heart provides a unique vehicle for the public to support artists and purchase original art for their homes and businesses. This event is a means whereby individual artists can earn money by selling their affordable artwork to the general public in an attractive and inviting environment. The main goal of the event is to bring artists together in a supportive setting in order to strengthen their self-esteem, build empowerment, provide hope and build community. It also helps to create sustainability and assists the participating artists to find acceptance.

Shifts of 2 or more hours are available.

Unbound Visual Arts (UVA) is very excited to be presenting the annual City Heart Art Show inside the Prudential Center’s Huntington Arcade on Saturday, May 4th, 2019. The public hours are 10am - 5pm. The Show will be near Barnes and Noble between Huntington Ave. and Center Court. There will be 50 artists who have experienced homelessness, live music, a family friendly community art making project, a sing-along concert, and artist demonstrations. All volunteers are invited to a pizza party on Friday May 3rd starting at 6pm at the Prudential Center's Huntington Arcade even if that's not your volunteer slot. We'll be setting up the Arcade for the City Heart Show at that time.

Just go to the volunteer sign up to see all the slots and add your name. We are especially seeking artist mentors and Art Show greeters. Training will be provided.
