Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. is actively recruiting top quality leadership with honest, passionate, dedicated, and collaborative individuals to serve as Directors on the Board of Directors, in Southern CA. We are specifically looking for qualified nominations for individuals over the age of 18, who have knowledge of & interest in equine welfare issues, who have some horse handling experience, and are interested in serving a critical role in Board Development & Community Outreach / Fundraising for this coming year. We are recruiting individuals interested in serving as President, Treasurer, Secretary, Outreach & Events Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Fundraising & Bequests Officer, Volunteer Mentor / Pro Bono Parelli Horse Trainer, and Pro-Bono Equine Assisted Learning Therapist, positions. These positions require a minimum time commitment of 10 hours per month, and are pro bono volunteer only. We are a non-profit and do not pay salary for serving in our Leadership Team, but the experiences you will have are incredibly rewarding and you will make a huge difference to the community and the horses and humans we serve. You will have the opportunity to earn awards, public recognition, and we are happy to write letters of reference for employers or mentor interns for college credit. Our home office is based in Simi Valley, CA, but we have horses in Ventura and Los Angeles County, CA.
