The LOT Project encourages new volunteers to attend this 1-hour orientation before they begin working with us. During this orientation we cover the basic history of our organization, our mission statement and current programs, different ways to get involved, and share some wisdom and best practices for volunteers.
This orientation is a great way to learn before you show to up for one of our recurring events. It is required that you attend some kind of orientation before volunteering with us. If you're not able to attend this event, please call us to discuss other orientation options.
**For those seeking group volunteer opportunities - at least one (adult) member of your group must complete orientation. If the entire group would like to schedule an orientation, we would love to have all of you.
**For student volunteers and those completing required hours for other programs - attending this orientation does count as an hour!

Mission Statement
We provide creative solutions for the tough issues in our city.
Description
We currently operate two programs; The LOT and Artisan Gardens
At The LOT, we provide hot meals, clothing, and basic needs items to those in need twice a week, from our program space at 302 West Market Street in Anderson.
At Artisan Gardnes, we partner with members of Artisan Fellowship church to grow food, faith, and friends through two community garden spaces on E Street and G Street in Anderson. Here community members help us to grow and distribute produce to those in need, while teaching others how to grow their own food.
We have two other programs in the pipeline (Village Homes & Mill Hill Makers). Reach more about all of these, and more, on our website at www.thelotproject.com
