Provide emotional, social or educations support for those caring for individuals with dementia:
- Initiate conversation among participants to share their challenges and successes with caring for someone with dementia
- Maintain a safe environment for participants where their thoughts and feelings are valued
- Redirect conversations or behaviors as needed
- Complete meeting summary
- Promote Alzheimer's Associations Services
There are 2 different groups needing facilitators:
- Parma Afternoon, which meets the last Thursday of the month from 1:30 - 3 pm in Room 10 of the UH Parma Health Education Center
- Parma Evening, which meets the 1st Tuesday of the month from 7 - 8:30 pm in Room 26 of the UH Parma Health Education Center

Description
The Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter provides free support and resources to individuals living with memory loss, and their caregivers. Our service area covers five counties including Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain. We raise funds to provide these services and to advance global research on dementia. The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research.
