San Francisco Chamber Orchestra

The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra requires volunteers to assist with a pre-concert reception beginning at 1:15pm and then assist with distributing programs and checking in members prior to the performanc.

The performance consists of the following:

The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra explores the fascinating intersections of classical, pop and jazz with the Catalyst String quartet and violists and composer Darcy Rindt. Hear how Mozart invented jazz along with romantic works by the British master Sir Edward Elgar, a brand-new work by Ms. Rindt, and covers of tunes by Dave Brubeck, Britney Spears, and Muse.

The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra is dedicated to making classical music accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds across the Bay Area by providing fully professional, admission-free concerts and educational programming.

Description

Since 1953, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra has served the SF Bay Area through performing classical and contemporary orchestral music. In its current form, the SFCO presents over forty concerts free of charge annually around the Bay for ages 3 - 103 by the Bay Area's most ardent musicians.
