Our annual fundraiser, dinner, and auction is our largest event of the year, and it’s a great way for volunteers to support the work of Neighborhood House! Proceeds from Fete Locale support our programs, which serve low-income and vulnerable children, families, and seniors throughout Portland. This year's event is Saturday, May 11th at the Multnomah Athletic Club.

Title: Silent Auction & Centerpiece Setup Volunteer (2-3 vols)
Duration: 10:30 a.m-3 p.m.
Duties/Responsibilities: Arrange silent auction items so that they are attractive to bidders; ensure item descriptions match the item (same number on both); place descriptions as near to items as possible; set-up dinner table centerpieces. Possible lifting necessary (up to 25 lbs).
Skills Needed: Creativity

Title: Greeter (4 vols)
Duration: 5:30-7:30 p.m. or until all guests have arrived
Duties/Responsibilities: Welcome and direct guests arriving in lobby; welcome and direct guests at bottom stairs leading to silent auction.
Skills Needed: Outgoing, comfortable approaching people you don’t know, knowledge of event/NH.

Title: Registration/Banking (4 vols)
Duration: 4:30-9:30 p.m. (4 Registration/Banking vols)
Duties/Responsibilities: Data entry, confirm registration (maintain registration check-off list), distribute catalogs, distribute bid cards
Skills Needed: Strong typing and data entry skills, attention to detail, good communication skills

Title: Raffle Ticket Seller (12 vols)
Duration: 5:15-7:30 p.m.
Duties/Responsibilities: Sell raffle tickets during cocktail hour, track sales
Skills Needed: Outgoing personality, salesmanship, attention to detail, enthusiasm, comfort with approaching guests

Title: Clean-Up Crew (4 vols)
Duration: 8:30-10:30 p.m.
Duties/Responsibilities: Clean up after the event, heavy lifting and loading of the truck
Skills Needed: Organized
